I’m on a diet to lose weight!

Storyline: Maya is on a diet but her friends coax her into eating a bowl of ice cream. Here is a sample conversation.

Mary: Would you like to have some ice-cream? I’ve got a quite a few flavours to choose from – vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, coffee. You name it, I’ve got it.

Maya: I’d like to, but I can’t. I’m on a diet. My dietician will kill me if I eat ice-creams.

Mary: You’re on a diet? What for? You already have a great figure.

Maya: Thanks for the compliment. Actually, I’m trying to fit into my old jeans so I’ve got to lose at least five kilos.

Mary: Oh, come on, Anita. It’s just a bite. It wouldn’t hurt your plans.

Maya: No, I won’t. Please don’t tempt me. Please.

You look a million bucks

Storyline: Sam has lost some weight and looks fit. This surprises his friend Alice.

Alice: Wow, you look like a million bucks. Have you been working out?

Sam: Yeah, I’ve been going to the gym for well over three months.

Alice: I can tell that from your appearance. Your pot belly has disappeared. Man, you look really buff. By the way, would you mind discussing your workout regime with your best  friend?

Sam: Not at all. I lift weights. I also do some aerobics. You know what? I used to detest workouts, but now that I’ve started seeing the results, I’m becoming addicted to them. I feel  like a new man!

Alice: Great!
