Half and half of

Complete the following sentences using half or half of. In some cases, either could be used.

Hint

We use half before a noun without a determiner. Both half and half of can be used before a noun with a determiner (e.g. articles, possessives and demonstratives).

Half of is not used in expressions of measurement and quantity.

Before a pronoun we use half of.
