Time expressions

March 8th, 2014 in English Learning

There are four seasons in English:

Spring (March, April, May)

Summer (June, July, August)

Autumn / Fall (September, October, November)

Winter (December, January, February)

Both autumn and fall are used in English. Autumn is used more often in British English and fall is mainly used in American English.

Note that while writing, the names of the months and the days of the week should be capitalized. Example: March, May, Wednesday.

However, the names of the seasons are not capitalized. Examples: spring, summer, winter
