How to Improve English Quickly – Part I
Learning English as a foreign language or a second language isn’t all that difficult. There are many techniques you can employ to make the task easier.
To start with
Ask yourself: What do I want to learn this week?
Stop and think for a moment about what you want to learn in a week. Of course, you can focus only on the current unit you need to study every week. But with a little effort, you can learn additional lessons as well.
Set a goal for yourself every week and then notice the progress you are making. If you are a disciplined learner, you will be both surprised and inspired by how quickly you are learning English. The truth is that this feeling of success will make you want to learn even more English.
Quickly review important grammar rules shortly before going to bed.
Just before going to bed, quickly review the rules or lessons you learnt in the class during the day. Studies have shown that the brain will process information that is fresh in our mind while we sleep. If you quickly review your lessons just before you go to sleep, your brain will comprehend that information while you sleep.
Do five to ten minutes of listening at least four times a week.
Listen to spoken English at least four times a week. Start with five or ten minutes of listening. Listen often and you will gradually develop the habit of listening to English on a regular basis.
